Tsukiji

A few shots from my actual work.
_________________

Reportage shooting at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan. On a trip to Japan in 2012, I visited the Tsukiji Fish Wholesale Market in the early morning. I carried my cam and a few lenses with me and took some pictures. The examples shown here are a pick out of a around 300 pictures taken during the trip.

My «Tsukiji» pictures has been shot in July 2012 with my NIKON D3 DSLR and a NIKKOR AF-S 70-200mm, f2,8 VR lens, with available light. All the fine tuning of the pictures has been made in Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Apple Aperture 3.

The pictures are part of my entry to the EWZ-Selection 2013 photo competition.

Enjoy, Alfredo Briccola

Below The Sea Leve vol. 1

A few shots from my actual work.

A colorful insight into the fantastic world below sea level. I carry on most of my dives my camera to catch the impressive encounters with the creatures of the sea. Sometimes these creatures are really tiny, not even 1cm in length, sometimes they are really huge. Some of them are just nice to see and completely harmless to humans. Others can be really dangerous but most of them are quiet peaceful. I shot these pictures on various trips to Thailand, especially at the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and some Divesites close to the Phi Phi Islands.

#9 Asian Seascapes Vol #1

A few shots from my actual work.

I shot these pictures below on the tiny and remote island Koh Ngai (spoken Co High) in southern Thailand, where no roads or paved ways disturb the eye and just nature rules. The so called long tail boats are the only traffic devices available around and being used by the local fishermen. Most of them were made at sunset or in the early morning, when the light is so soft and magic, that the colors turn the scenery into a mix of crazy warm tones. On Koh Ngai, I always stayed at the very nice and friendly Coco Cottage Resort, wich I recommend. I had the chance to spend a little time on this island more than once and that gave me the opportunity to catch the full beauty of the place in different lightening situations. The three islands in the background are typically for the scenery of the archipelago on Thailands southernmost outskirts.

I shot this pictures with my NIKON D200 DSLR. For most of them I used 12-24mm DX NIKKOR Ultra Wide Angle Lens, or the 10,5mm DX Fisheye NIKKOR.
